Christmas tree chipping: City of Richmond hosts a recycling-by-donation event, Jan. 6 and 7, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Garry Point Park. Proceeds to Richmond Caring Place and Muscular Dystrophy. Richmond Central Lions Club hosts similar event, Jan. 6, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Jan. 7, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with all proceeds going to local charities.
