Richmond Chinese Community Society New Year's events
Performances on Feb. 8 at Richmond Centre mall and Feb. 9 at Lansdowne Park Shopping Centre. The Shung Ying Kung Fu Club starts the two-day event off with a lion dance at 11 a.m. on Feb. 8. Performers include: Little Note Children's Choir, Steveston high choir and band, Royal Canadian Air Cadets, Mike Battie (juggling), Phillipine Heritage Cultural Dancers, Alex Elixir (magic show), Artland Learning Centre (tae-kwon do), Elizabeth Johnston Highland dancing and Chu's Magic.
Gilmore Park United Church 40th Anniversary
Feb. 15 & 16. Former ministers, members and friends are invited to join the celebrations. Saturday evening entertainment 7-10 p.m. Sunday morning worship at 10:30 a.m. with special guest speaker Rev. Dermott McInnes followed by a catered luncheon. Info/tickets: 277-5377.
