Youth Club
Hosted by West Richmond community centre's Out of School Care for 9-12-year-olds. Designed for children too old for regular out-of-school care, but too young to stay at home, featuring outdoor activities, excursions, 3-6 p.m. 277-9812.


Keen Kids Weekends
Keen Kids is a recreation program designed for 9 to 12 year olds who require extra support, such as "attention deficit disorder" or "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Kid go on trips, do art and music activities, swim and socialize. Programs begin Sept. 27 for 10 Saturday sessions, hosted by the city centre community association. Info: Mike Redpath at 276-4107.


Crystal radio workshops
Kids ages 8-12, with their parents, can learn to build a radio they can take home, at Gulf of Georgia Cannery National Historic Site, 12138 Fourth Ave., Steveston, Oct. 8. Info/registration at the cannery or by calling 664-9009.


A Blast in the Past
Begins Sept. 27, for 6-10-year-olds, to experience Steveston through hands-on activities at the Steveston Museum, Gulf of Georgia Cannery, Britannia Heritage Shipyard, London Farm, Interurban Tram, etc. Info: 277-6812; walk-in registration now on.
