CHOICE HOUNDS

Howe Sound Hounds, led by many old boys from the metro league in days gone by, captured top honors at the annual Richmond Legends' over-30s Labor Day baseball tournament. Delta Padres took runners-up honors, with the host Legends third and Aldergrove Giants fourth. Hounds beat the Padres 7-4 in the final, while the Legends beat the Giants 5-4. "It was a very successful and enjoyable tournament," said organizer Warren Karsgaard. "Old friends from ball games long past were able to rekindle the past on and off the field of dreams."

PERFECT ROLL

Hun Tong rolled a perfect game (300) last Tuesday in the Coca Cola Classic League at Top Gun Bowl in Richmond. Only a select group of bowlers have made it onto the Honor Scores scroll, reserved for scores of 298 and 300, 800 series or for rolling 11 strikes in a row.
