Breastfeeding drop-in centre
At Richmond health department, 7000 Westminster Hwy., in the rotunda behind the main part of the Richmond Hospital, every Wednesday from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m. and every Friday morning, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Community health nurses available to help breastfeeding mothers with their individual questions and concerns (free). Breast self-examination classes
Hosted by Canadian Cancer Society every Wednesday morning and evening at South Arm community centre. Instruction is free. 279-7150.


Chapters Books programs
Writing group reviews publications of interest to writers and provides constructive criticism of manuscripts. Info: Bill at 277-6775.


Childbirth education
Richmond Hospital offers prenatal classes in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Punjabi, as well as a "Vaginal Birth after Caesarean" session. Info/registration: Education Services at 244-5509.
