How to Get Involved

Membership in Friends of the Richmond Public Library is open to all who support the objects of the society. The membership year begins with the annual meeting in November, but new members are welcome any time. Anyone interested in becoming a member of this energetic group of library supporters can contact Debby Newton at 604-271-1684 or by calling the library at 604-231-6422.

Friends organize semi-annual sales of used books. These sales have become very popular community events, making low-cost reading available to everyone, as well as raising funds for special library projects. Recent purchases include large print books and furniture for the Hamilton Branch.

Each RPL branch also has an ongoing in house booksale.

  • Kids books are sold for 4 items for $1
