Frequently Asked Questions about the Catalogue

When I go to the catalogue, or when I log in to my account, the page displays a list of items. What are those?

The homepage shows the most recent items that have been added to the library's collection. It's a way to browse what's new in the library.

How do I customize the catalogue homepage?

2. Perform a search and then hit "Save as My Search"

How do I put holds on "on order" items?

If you click on the hold button you will be asked to log in to your account and then choose the pick-up location. You can confirm your hold went through and check your place in the queue by clicking on the "Holds" tab under your account. If you need help, don't hesitate to contact us and we'll be happy to place the hold for you.

What does putting items into the "Cart" do?

You can temporarily save items in a cart so you can easily put holds on multiple items, or email yourself the list. The items will only remain in your cart for that session. You can also save the list permanently by selecting the items you want, clicking "save" and giving the list a name. Once a list is saved, it'll be available in the "My List" section when you're logged on.

What is "borrowing history"?

It is a list of all the items you have borrowed and returned from the day we launched our catalogue. Many customers have requested this function so they can see what they've read before, or can find out the title of a book they want to re-read.

  1. Log in to the catalogue.
  2. Click "My Account".
  3. Click "Contact Information".
  4. Uncheck the box allowing borrowing history.
  5. Click "Save".

Can the catalogue remember my library card so I don't have to put it in every time?

Yes, you can check the "remember me" box when you log in.

How do I write a review?

1. Login

2. Click "Write A Review"

3. Submit your thoughts

4. Edit your review at any time

How do I rate an item?

2. Click on the stars
