BC Teen Challenge is a faith-based rehabilitation program for young men and women, ages 19 and over. We recognize that addiction can take numerous forms, and is not just limited to drug and alcohol abuse. The program is residential-based, and is usually completed in 12 to 18 months. The program is funded entirely through donations, and offers spiritual, academic and vocational training, equipping individuals to return to society as responsible citizens. There are currently three centres in operation in BC: a men’s centre in Chilliwack, a woman’s centre in Abbotsford, and a men’s centre in the Okanagan. |

CCGA-P, Unit 10 - Richmond operates two Search and Rescue vessels out of Steveston and the North Arm of the Fraser River. Volunteer crewmembers dedicate their time to provide 24-hour Marine Search and Rescue along the Fraser River and out into the Strait of Georgia. In a rotation of crews, members are expected during their one-week rotation to remain within fifteen minutes of the boats to ensure a quick, dedicated response to marine emergencies. Unit 10 - Richmond is routinely one of the busiest Search and Rescue Units in the Pacific Region. It is considered one of the primary response vessels for the Vancouver International Airport in the event of an aircraft going down in the surrounding waters. |

The Canadian Federation of University Women Richmond meets monthly in the Kinsmen Pavilion at the Richmond Nature Park. Each general meeting features a short business meeting and a speaker. In addition, the club has a wide variety of interest groups and committees which meet weekly or monthly in members' homes or in the community. Membership in CFUW - Richmond is open to any woman who holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a university or college with international accreditation or a diploma in a field which is now degree granting. Founded in 1970 as a non-profit society and registered both federally and provincially, the CACR has been a pivotal force in the advancement of arts and artists in Richmond. Its mandate is to promote and support the arts and artists in their community. With over 70 members it offers many opportunities and is welcoming to new members. It operates the Artisans' Galleria which features and sells juried work by their artist members, and is the only location in the City of Richmond that offers a gallery for members to both exhibit and sell their work. This is also where they hold their many exhibitions and shows which include: The annual Student Art Exhibition, A Unique Art Show/Art from the Heart, Indian Summer Art Show, and an annual wood exhibition; for the 2010 Olympics, the CACR also produced A Child's Vision of the Olympic Torch Relay.
