Located at the south foot of Railway Ave., this national historic site is a rare example of the once-thriving fishing industry with its mix of cultures, canneries, boatyards, stores and homes. Consisting of 12 buildings, some dating back to 1845, Britannia offers a glimpse into the lives of the multi-ethnic residents and workers in the canneries and shipyards along cannery row. Britannia offers guided tours and a variety of fun, educational programs for active learners of all ages. Admission to the site and buildings is free. Visitors are welcome. Britannia Boatbuilders Workshop

Your group will be taken on a guided tour of the oldest shipyard buildings in British Columbia and learn about what happened in 1912 and 1942 that changed life in Steveston forever. They will explore the working life of past shipyard employees, see active boat restoration projects, and then build their own model wooden fishing boat to take home. Fee is $4 per student, minimum $80 charge, maximum 30 students.

Seniors' Wellness Clinic
Wellness Clinics are held on the first Monday of every month (second Monday in the event of a holiday) at Cambie Community Centre. Retired registered nurses are available to discuss medications and health concerns. Free blood pressure testing and pharmacist consultations are available. Dedicated to the preservation, restoration, collection and enjoyment of antique radios and related items, the CVRS is a non-profit society run solely by volunteers. The Chinese Cultural Centre is a non-profit organization whose membership is open to all. The Centre offers different classes and clubs for people with different interests. The Centre also provides services to the community and aims to promote the Chinese culture through various events. Services are available in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Heritage language programs designed for youth aged four and up. Preschool to senior high levels equivalent to those in Hong Kong are offered.
ESL for Cantonese or Mandarin Speakers
Helps new immigrants learn English. The focus is on speaking and daily use.
Income Tax Clinic
For seniors and low-income individuals. Held every year during tax season, usually in March and April. Sign up for the clinic in early February. Service in Chinese and English. There is no fee for this service, but donations are accepted. Call about dates and times.
Interest Classes
The Chinese Cultural Centre offers a wide variety of classes for people of all ages, including Chinese calligraphy, painting, dance, and flower arrangement. Please call for more details.

McDonald Beach Boat Launch is located on the north bank of Sea Island at the end of McDonald Road. Facilities include two ramps, public washrooms, picnic tables and a small concession. For information call 604-244-1208
Imperial Landing
Located between the south foot of No. 1 Road and Railway Avenue, this historic waterfront area has become one of the most popular waterfront destinations in Richmond. Extensive redevelopment of the historic area includes townhouses, single family and condominium residences and a developing retail/commercial area. Additional site features include piers, docks, historic from BC Packers Cannery, an extensive interpretation signage program detailing the area's historic significance and serves as an important link between Britannia Heritage Shipyards and Steveston Village.
London's Landing
A historic area at the start of the South Dyke Trail with views of Steveston Island (aka Shady Island) and the historic Cannery Channel. Area highlights include close proximity to historic London Farm, a Bike Terrain Park, fishing float anchored to the pier, picnic tables, washrooms, interpretation signage and parking.
Mitchell Island Pier
Located along the northwest edge of Mitchell Island, this unique pier, once part of an old rail bridge between Vancouver and Richmond, provides views of the working river from as far west as Vancouver's Marpole area to east of the Knight Street Bridge. The pier has a small picnic area in the pocket park at the entrance of the site and features a small group of benches on the pier deck itself.
Public Fishing Piers
Richmond has four public piers; the Sport Fishing Pier at the south foot of No. 3 Road, London's Landing at the south foot of No. 2 Road, the restored CN Barge Pier at the north foot of No. 7 Road and a recently added pier on Mitchell Island at the west end of Twigg Place. Each of these piers offers a unique view of the Fraser River. There are picnic tables at each location. An excellent view of the Fraser River can also be enjoyed from the wharf at the Britannia Heritage Shipyard located at the south foot of Railway Avenue.
Sports Fishing Pier
This fishing pier is located at the south foot of No. 3 Road along the South Dyke, adjacent to the Dogs Off-Leash Park. The pier has panoramic views of the South Arm of the Fraser River, Ladner, Mt. Baker and river traffic. Parking and washrooms are available.

Founded in 1970 as a non-profit society and registered both federally and provincially, the CACR has been a pivotal force in the advancement of arts and artists in Richmond. Its mandate is to promote and support the arts and artists in their community. With over 70 members it offers many opportunities and is welcoming to new members. It operates the Artisans' Galleria which features and sells juried work by their artist members, and is the only location in the City of Richmond that offers a gallery for members to both exhibit and sell their work. This is also where they hold their many exhibitions and shows which include: The annual Student Art Exhibition, A Unique Art Show/Art from the Heart, Indian Summer Art Show, and an annual wood exhibition; for the 2010 Olympics, the CACR also produced A Child's Vision of the Olympic Torch Relay. Provides a place to enjoy organic gardening. There are four community gardens: one in Terra Nova (north of Westminster Highway, east of Barnard Road), one at the south end of Gilbert Road, and one at the East Richmond Community Centre (by King George Park) and Garrett Wellness Centre at 7504 Chelsea place (between No. 2 Road and Gilbert just off of Blundell). A Canada-wide organization of volunteer instructors offering boating safety courses, including power and sail navigation courses as well as Canadian Coast Guard accredited boating courses, leading to the Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC), popularly known as the Boat License and the Canadian Power & Sail Squadron Boating course beginning in September 2009 and again in January 2010. CPS also offers GPS, VHF Marine Radio courses leading to the Restricted Operator Certificate, ROC (M), which includes the new Digital Selective Calling endorsement (DSC and GMDSS) and Marine Electronics.

Garry Point Park

A 74-acre park with five picnic tables, 51 benches, a riverfront pathway circuit, connection to the dyke, drinking fountain, concession stand, and a public washroom. Located a short walk from Steveston's historic fishing village, it features a Kuno Japanese-style memorial garden, Scotch Pond heritage moorage site and a Fisherman's Memorial Needle. Visitors will enjoy spectacular views of the Fraser River and the Gulf Islands.

Attractions include the beautifully restored 1890s farmhouse complete with a Tea Room, a Gift Shop and five display rooms depicting life in Richmond between 1890 and 1929. Entrance to the house is by donation. To the east of the house are the heritage perennial flower and herb gardens, while in the park stands the Spragg family barn, a large interpretive agricultural machinery display, chickens, a pond, community gardens and bee hives. Ringette is a fast-paced ice sport introduced in 1963 in North Bay, Ontario by Sam Jacks. A fishing and hunting club with strong interests in target shooting, including archery and airgun. Canadian firearms safety training course instruction is offered. The Club's temporary range is located in the Sportstown BC building at 4991 No. 5 Rd., between Cambie and Westminster Hwy. in Richmond.
