English Corner
English Corner is a volunteer-run activity that aims to empower these newcomers to become enthusiastic and confident members of the Canadian family. It seeks to engender in every participant the willingness and ability to contribute their own unique gifts to the greater Richmond community in building a better society based on friendship, unity and cooperation. Daily Vacation Bible School
Takes place July for children aged 5 to 12 years old. There is no cost and children register on arrival (whether for one day or all three days). Bible stories, games, crafts, and other activities are tied together by a theme that changes from year to year.
ESL Classes
Conversational classes for adults. Courses follow materials from Vancouver Community College. There is a nominal cost. Classes are divided into levels that range from beginner to advanced. Offered October through May on Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00am to noon. Registration begins in September.
Friday Night Children and Youth Activities
A drop-in night of activities involving singing, Bible lessons, crafts, games, and a snack. Offered from October through May from 7:30pm to 9:00pm.

BC Teen Challenge exists to see men and women set free from life-controlling addictions. They offer a 12-month faith-based residential program and have four locations in British Columbia. The organization of Teen Challenge began over 50 years ago by helping youth on the streets of New York City. Today in Canada, the program is designed for men and women 19 and up, as the organization continues follow the original program model with tremendous success. The program is holistic in nature and includes life skill development, practical work experience, community/church outreach, mentoring and biblical teaching. West Coast Wellness Group provides counselling services on a fee for service basis. Registered Clinical Counsellors support clients for a range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, loss, personal growth, child/youth/parenting issues, and general wellness concerns. A Clinical Intake is the first part of therapy. After the completion of the Intake, a therapist that is most appropriate for the client's need will be assigned. JFSA Employment Counsellors work with clients to develop individual Employment Action Plans to enhance each client’s employability. Clients are assisted in their job search through various programs including: individual employment counselling; career exploration and coaching; employment workshops; and mentorship programs. Seniors Outreach Counsellors work with seniors throughout the city to provide information and referral, assess and determine eligibility for financial aid for food vouchers, medical/dental requirements or housing emergencies. They collaborate with programs and agencies such as the West End Seniors Network, who refer seniors with complex issues. They advocate for seniors with government agencies, for better housing, and better care. They refer clients to JFSA home support, congregate meals and community programs. They pair with synagogues to coordinate and deliver food for the Jewish holidays. They accompany seniors to appointments, and to visit assisted living and long term care facilities. They work with adult children who are the primary caregivers for their aging parents. They act as a resource to other programs and services. Kosher Meal Delivery delivers frozen kosher meals to people who are unable to prepare food for themselves. The cost of the meal is $11.50; subsidy may be available. Catchment area is Vancouver, and Richmond. Seniors Lunch serves a hot kosher luncheon at 12 noon on Tuesdays for Jewish seniors at Temple Sholom (57th and Cambie) for a $10 fee; clients are driven to lunch by volunteers or HandyDART. Settlement and Integration
Settlement and Integration Services provide a "wrap-around" experience to help newcomers to become successfully integrated, active participants in the Greater Vancouver Jewish community, and in Canadian society. Services include: settlement information and orientation for newcomers; individual and family settlement counselling; Canadian Systems Education Seminars on settlement-related topics; and referrals to assist newcomers in securing housing, and access to educational, social, and cultural resources. LOGOS Program

Available for children and youth ages 5 to 18. Runs on Fridays from 4:30pm to 7:45pm, from mid-September to late spring. Has four components: Worship Skills, Family Supper, Bible Study, and Recreation Play. Participants go from activity to activity escorted by leaders. Each LOGOS meeting has a fun theme which is reflected in the decorations and family time activity. Come dressed to fit the theme. Themes, exact start dates and registration forms are available from the church office.
RPC Choir
At the 11:00am traditional service, the RPC choir proclaims their faith through song accompanied by the organ or grand piano. The choir is led by organist and choir director Graeme Stager. Practices are held Thursday evenings from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Runs for one week from 9:00am to 12:00pm in July every year. Each day the children will enjoy Bible stories, crafts, games, and singing lead by qualified instructors and parent volunteers. Christian Instruction
For those who are curious and wish to learn about the basics of the Christian Faith a 12-13 week class is offered periodically. Run by volunteers and designed to help individuals new to the English language improve their English by reading, speaking and learning about stories from the Bible. Moms and Tots Drop-in
Free* drop-in on Thursdays 9:30am to 11am from September to June. A special playtime for children (ages 5 and under), their parents, and caregivers.
