Cadets are encouraged to become active, responsible members of their communities. They learn valuable life and work skills like teamwork, leadership, and citizenship. The Canadian Federation of University Women Richmond meets monthly in the Kinsmen Pavilion at the Richmond Nature Park. Each general meeting features a short business meeting and a speaker. In addition, the club has a wide variety of interest groups and committees which meet weekly or monthly in members' homes or in the community. Membership in CFUW - Richmond is open to any woman who holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a university or college with international accreditation or a diploma in a field which is now degree granting. There is also an Associate Membership for women who do not meet the qualifications required for full membership, but who have earned a diploma or certificate requiring at least two years of post-secondary education. |
