STORYTIME WITH A DOG (1 hour) What better way to practice your reading skills than to read with a dog? For ages 6-12. Best for struggling readers or ESL level 1 or 2. This program is not suitable for children with pet allergies. Please only register for one session per month. Registration Required.

BABYTIME (30 min.)
Learn rhymes, bounces, action songs, fingerplays and lullabies. Meet other parents and caregivers and share your experiences. Expectant moms and dads are welcome too!

POKEMON TRAINERS' GYM (1 hour)
Looking for somewhere to train your Pokemon for battle? Bring your Pokemon cards and games to Cambie for the Trainers' Gym and battle other Pokemon Connoisseurs to hone your skills. Must have your own cards and games. For ages 8 - 12. Registration Required.
CHECKMATE! (1 hour) Want to learn how to play chess? Come have some fun, while learning to beat your friends! Learn tips and strategies of the game. Boards and pieces supplied. Best for beginners & novices ages 8 - 12. Registration Required.

LE CLUB FRANCAIS (45 min.)
Teen mentors help children (grades 1-3, and 6) who are in French Immersion programs. Registration forms are at the Kids' Place desk March 18 - April 8. Admittance into the program is by lottery.
READING BUDDIES (45 min.) Teen mentors help kids in grades 1-3 with reading. Registration forms are at Brighouse, Ironwood and Cambie branches March 18 - April 8 and at Steveston branch March 18 - March 30. Register at only 1 branch. Admittance into the program is by lottery. *No session on Monday, May 21.
PARENT-CHILD BOOK CLUB Love reading? Join our new parent-child book clubs and share your love of reading with your child. Registration required, only children need to register. Please only sign up for one book club per month. Be sure to pick up your reading club book from the Kids’ Place desk as soon as possible to start reading!

SING AND PLAY (1 1/2 hours) For parents with children from birth to age 5. Make friends and learn songs and rhymes with your children. Guided discussion and a short storytime are also included. In partnership with Richmond Family Place. Drop-in!
