For 50 years, RPL has been a place where stories gather. Generations of Richmond residents have visited the library to borrow books, join events, learn, and connect with the community.
In honour of the Richmond Public Library’s 50th anniversary, please join us for six weeks of exciting festivities online and in-person at your local library, from May 13 to June 28, 2026.

What Does RPL Mean to You?
Help us celebrate 50 years of RPL by sharing your library photos and memories. Submitted photos may be used by Richmond Public Library on our website, social media, displays, printed materials, reports, and other library-related communications. By submitting a photo, you confirm you have permission to share it. Photos will be used by RPL only and will not be sold or provided to third parties for their own use.
