BIPOC TOK: Podcasting made easy

Richmond Public Library and Connections Community Services welcomes you to sign up for our podcasting program. The program was made possible with the generous support of the Province of British Columbia’s Multiculturalism Grant. The focus of this grant-led program is to provide space for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, people of colour) to share their story, and their voice. To learn more about BIPOC please visit What does BIPOC mean? Canadian teens explain.

This program is designed for youth 13-24 years old who are beginners in podcasting. If you want to learn more about podcasting, and be loaned specialized equipment for the duration of the program – this is the program for you! You will get training to learn the ins and outs of podcasting and get the chance to make a podcast of your own. You do not need any special equipment and no podcasting experience is required. This program runs from September 2021-Janurary 2022 and you will receive 6 training sessions, and 3 sessions with podcasting mentors to help you create your own podcast.

You must sign up for the entire program and be able to attend for the duration of the program. Additionally, you must be able to physically come to the Brighouse Branch of Richmond Public Library to pick up the kit. Kits cannot be mailed. For questions about the podcasting program please contact Kate Adams at kate.adams@yourlibrary.ca
