Study Rooms

Due to the temporary closure of the Richmond Public Library, we are not currently accepting computer bookings.

How many study rooms are there?

The library has 3 study rooms at Brighouse Branch in the 2nd Floor Silent Study Area.

How many people can use each room?

Two of the rooms (Room 1 and 2) will seat up to four people. Room 3 will seat up to 6 people.

How long can I use a room?

Maximum time per group per day is 2 hours.

How do I book a room?

A library card is required to book a room. Bookings are made on the hour. Rooms can be booked at the Brighouse Branch 2nd Floor Ask Me Desk or by calling 604-231-6413.

Can I book a room a week in advance?

No, these rooms are same day booking only. You can not book a day or week in advance.

What happens if I am late for my booking?

If you are more than 10 minutes late you will lose your booking. However, if you have booked 2 consecutive hours you will be able to use the 2nd hour.

Can I book the room for a business meeting?

No, the rooms are for quiet study only as they are inside our Silent Study Area.
